PAINTING
In the words of Cy Twombly, "Kill your painting!" Many abstract paintings project a map of mental struggle. Trapped in a two dimentional plane, the goal is nothing other than digging myself into a conceptual hole, only so that I may dig myself out. The beauty of painting, like life, cannot exist without the harmony of opposition. We voulentarily put ourselves into difficult situations and in the end the reward of knowledge gained far surpasses the struggle.
